Planting Design |
Promega Campus Planting Master Plan
Objective: Promega Corp. is a manufacturer of enzymes and other biotechnology products. The current site has oak savanna and tall-grass prairie communities. The objective of this project is to create a sustainable landscape next to the new Research and Development Facility. The proposed landscape design will serve both building occupants and visitors.
Course: LA 365 Planting Design, Fall 2018 (Individual Work)
Process: Site Analysis -> Generating Design Concepts -> Master Plan and Other Supporting Graphics -> Planting Board -> Planting Schedule -> Management Plan
Software Used: Photoshop, AutoCAD, InDesign
Design Approaches:
- Enhance the cohesion of the prairies area and creates rhythms in planting mass
- Select plants with the naturalistic appearance and need low maintenance,
- Create views with hardscape and softscape
